Why is it Bad to Listen to Loud Music?

Temporary hearing loss can occur when you have been in contact with loud music for about 15 minutes. If you have temporary hearing loss, you can not hear it as you normally do and then you hear a buzzing sound, but fortunately this usually disappears and the hearing returns to normal.

The majority of otorhinolaryngologists, that is, specialists in the ear, nose and neck. They say that any type of music if it is high can cause temporary or permanent hearing loss. Constant "heavy" music and loud noise are common causes of deafness. If a noise is so loud that you have to shout to be heard (what happens when you use heavy machinery or when you listen to music too loud as in concerts) there is a possibility that the inner part of the ear will be damaged.

Permanent hearing loss can occur when you are constantly exposed to loud music. Construction workers and people who work in factories should protect their ears because the tools usually make a very loud noise. But even some mowers or machines can permanently affect the ability to hear high tones and can cause permanent buzzing. Hearing music very loud constantly can have the same effects on the hearing of some people so the cases of walkman or portable CD can be bad because if the volume is very loud and the headphones are used a lot, the noise can damage the ears

The best way to avoid hearing loss is to keep your ears protected when working with heavy machinery and earplugs when going to a concert. The helmets are good for listening to music but you have to be careful and avoid that the volume is very loud and rest from time to time.
